A look back at RPM, one of the early chapters in Raymond “Monie” Kulick’s music career.

This original 1982 release features:

Ray Kulik — Lead Vocals
Jeff Russell — Guitar and Vocals
Michael Hannig — Keyboards and Vocals
Tom Huitt — Bass and Vocals
David Bennett — Drums and Percussion

The project was produced by Dan Borsch, engineered by Kirk Yano at After Dark Studios, and released through Habits Records in Bainbridge, Ohio.

Long before digital streaming, social media, and home recording software, bands built their reputations through live performances, studio sessions, physical records, word of mouth, and a serious commitment to the music.

This rare RPM artwork captures that era perfectly—the musicians, the attitude, the personalities, and the raw energy of a working rock band in the early 1980s.

For Raymond Kulick, it represents another important step in a lifelong journey as a singer, songwriter, performer, poet, and creative artist.

The technology has changed. The music never stopped.
