Raymond Kulick, writer of Visions — Words of Wisdom, the original rock opera he wrote with composer Dimitris Papakostas. Raymond in full storyteller mode is the man behind the book and lyrics of a piece that lived a real momentum in the LA and North Hollywood theater scene.
If you’re not familiar with Visions yet, here’s the short version: it was inspired by real events in the Los Angeles area, and tells the story of a deeply faithful homeless woman whose spiritual strength becomes the moral center of the piece — a woman called to help save the soul of a wealthy but spiritually lost Wall Street executive. The main character was inspired by a real woman from Glendale known as Listo, whose resilience and faith left a lasting mark on composer Dimitris Papakostas.
